About the exhibition

Covid 19 certainly requires no introduction.

Most of us have been glued to our news feeds for the past months as we track it's destructive path around the globe.

By 20th April, it seemed that the world had gone silent and it was perfectly obvious that we were experiencing one of the most catastrophic events of our lives, both socially and economically.

We knew that the artists would already be contextualizing, interpreting, investigating, visualizing and rendering. We put out another Open Call for submissions of works based on 'Covid 19; Social Distancing', hopeful that the theme would encompass some of the more abstract thinkers as well as the literal ones.

We were not disappointed by the response and I hope you will agree that the following works, by more than 40 artists, are a thoughtful representation of our current situation and surroundings.

Once again, please note that we do not have all the works in our possession and that particularly the paintings from Nigeria, the United Kingdom and Uganda will demand a little more of a time commitment from the buyer to accommodate the shipping of the work from the source.
